Bike Week 2011

BACK 2 BIKES OPEN DAY & FUN RIDE SUNDAY
19 JUNE

It’s National Bike Week from the 18th to the 26th June.  To support the event, Back 2 Bikes will be holding a Fun-Ride to promote the Stafford – Stone cycle route.  This route, which opened last year, uses cycle paths, quite country lanes and canal towpath to avoid riding on the busy main roads between Stafford and Stone. 

We will be starting two rides simultaneously - one from each end, riding the route in opposite directions and passing each other along the way.  The rides will be on Sunday 19^th June setting out at 11:00hrs and both rides are seven miles each way.

At Stone the ride will depart from Christchurch scout hut in Westbridge Park whilst the Stafford ride will depart from Back-2-Bikes, Greyfriars Way. There will be tea, coffee and squash at both venues but you are advised to bring a packed lunch. 

We will also be holding demonstrations on bike safety checks and puncture repairs.  Local cycle maps will be available.  There is no charge for this event.  For further information telephone Back-2-Bikes on 01785 257483, or e-mail office@back2bikes.org.uk
